Traffic violation

Are you safy driver or not? Have you ever given violatoin tickets from the police officers?

One day I went to Tokyo by car. I lost my way and turned right without noticing the sign which showing prohibiting that.

I could see Tokyo Tower and The House Of Parliament due to this happening. But I had to pay 7000 yen fine and got minus 2 points...(T_T) What a expensive sightseeing!

If you have any, please tell me memories of traffic violations.

I hate some places such as Police Station or Court, even if I am innocent, much more when I am guilty :-)
Every time I see a police car, I am surprised I did no thing bad, though.

Hi, Messer! Thank you for your writing again.

You were in court! I sometimes feel it is not so dangerous to overspeed against speed limit. Highway is nice to drive and car's function is nice.

I have never summoned by over speeded. But I went to the district court once. I was sued about the accident. Mine and the others's car crashed little.

The lady denied to compromise and suddenly I received a petition.

That was terrible memories...

Hi Rony san and Ju n san.
My most recent traffic violation was also speeding on Chugoku Highway (not in China, in Yamaguchi :-)), more than twenty years ago.
I believed the higher speed limit on a highway was 100Km, but the police men said that was not a highway yet, still under construction, it was a regular road and the limit was much lower than 100Km.
Don't you think it was a kind of swindle (詐欺 I learned this word today).

I was summoned to appear in court(召喚 new word for me too) and the judgement was more than 30 thousand yen (I don't remember exact amount). It was my only experience to be called to the court and to receive the judgement.

Hello, Rony!! Thank you for your comment.

You might be skillful driver and sounds very cool! But that was too bad to pay lots of fine and could not drive for one month. If we think better way, that was good you did not have any traffic accidents.

You also are Gold card driver!! I have to learn such a nice driving...(^^;;

About 10 years ago, I was stopped for speeding by speed cop on the expressway.
I broke the speed limit (over 40km)

In those days, I had a lot of confidence when it came to driving.
I wasn't safty driver.

I had to pay a heavy fine(70000yen) and I was banned from driving
for 1 month.

police officers took my fingerprints. It was the first bad experience for me.
Thereafter, I learned my lesson.

I'm a Gold card member of driving license now.

Hello, Messa again.

I really love driving, too. We can go anyplace we want. My workplace is little bit far. While I am driving, I can practice singing. My car is just like my own room.

Gradually we are getting old. But nowadays Japanese are very healthy. Japanese society is supported by active senior generation people I believe. Let's enjoy our senior life and we are not so old to give up driving.

I think I should drive more safely, though...(^◇^;)

I have been driving a car for almost forty years or longer, and I still love driving.
However, as I am getting older and older, I am often surprised by small mistakes I make in driving. I am losing the ability to concentrate on watching many things.

I sometimes do not notice a car coming from one side because I watch only another side.
I sometimes, but not often, miss the traffic signs and signals.

Automobile is really convenient thing and I can not live without it, but I seriously feels I should minimize the time to drive it to avoid unnecessary trouble caused by driving.

Sorry, I am so pessimistic today. I am actually a positive man.

Good evening, Messer!! I was surprised your fastest reply. Thank you so much to encourage me...

Yes! I totally agree with you. Police officers always wait for such a car. When I violated, I was waited long time at the crossing. They could gave me warning sign.

You have Gold Card License!! Wow! I always have to take 2 hours lecture whenever I got to renew my driver's license. My prefecture is not convenient. We need cars in our daily life. I have to drive a lot...But I know I am little bit careless. I decided to drive more safely. If I didn't pay such a fine, I could go to eat nicer lunch!(+_+)

Aha, I am a "Gold Card Member" of the driving license. :-)

It does not mean I have never violated any traffic rule, but means I was lucky as I was not be be found by a police when I did it.
However, it is true that I was careful enough not to drive fast, not to park anywhere, not to overlook traffic signs, etc. I can say I have been a good driver, hahaha.

You should think you payed the training fee to avoid the serious accident you may cause in the near future.

By the way, the police officers are always waiting for cars which violate No-Right-Turn rule, beyond the crossing and behind the building. If they really think the cars should not turn right there, they should tell the cars before they did so. They always tell it after they did it. It is not fair. Don't you think so?
